S&A Advanced Surf Camp
S&A Advanced Surf Camp is a 3-day coached surf experience designed for intermediate and advanced surfers who are comfortable paddling, catching waves, and standing on their own. Unlike our beginner camps, surfers will not be pushed into waves and should be able to independently paddle out, position themselves, and catch waves.
Our experienced instructors focus on helping surfers improve technique, wave selection, ocean awareness, surf etiquette, and overall performance in the water. Through personalized coaching and video-style feedback, participants will build confidence and develop the skills needed to take their surfing to the next level.
Camp is held at Little Island Park in Sandbridge, Virginia Beach, and is open to surfers ages 10+ who can comfortably swim and meet the surfing prerequisites. Surfboards can be provided, or participants may bring their own equipment. NO HARD BOARDS PERMITTED.
Make sure to bring sunscreen, water, a towel, and a snack if needed. On the final day of each session a party will be hosted at 12:30 pm back at our shop located at 577 Sandbridge Rd in Virginia Beach (transportation back to the shop is not provided). Each S&A Advanced Surf Camp participant will receive a Surf & Adventure surf shirt.
All S&A Advanced Surf Camp sessions will be held at Little Island Park at the south end of Sandbridge in Virginia Beach (3820 Sandpiper Rd). This more remote area of Virginia Beach offers the perfect venue to get your surfing to the next level with uncrowded sandbars and quiet, open beaches. With safety as our number one priority, camps are held in the designated surf area at Little Island Park with lifeguard supervision at all times. We constantly monitor water and weather conditions to ensure maximum safety for all participants.
Surf camps begin promptly at 9 am and end at 12 noon.
